i being the residence of same camp where manarath was a campsecretary would strongly like to interrupt the statement against manarath and would like to support manarath.i too encourage manarath khanal to find the media which have published such news against him and give them challeng.

It was really a painfull news for us esp.we who live in camp and waiting for resettlement that Monarath was accused of involved in resettling Nepalese youth instead of Bhutanese.It was me to take seriously at first to find out the fact as a media person but i didn’t find his involvement till now,bcecause till now non of concerned athurity has bcome sucesfull to find out reality.
I personally suppor khanal’s statement and ask him to again challange about blame.

If we’re broad enough to think and realize there is no question of headache regarding penetrating Nepalese citizens in the foreign nations.
Nepal who put at risk their fragile environment, economy and social fabric to provide refuge to thousand of Bhutanese refugees for 18 years is in reality the largest ‘donor’ to our cause. We must recognize the immense contribution made by Nepalese people and Bhutanese leaders move their concerns to the forefront of the agenda to the outside world. Think about India; what it did for our cause? Always be positive and think for greater cause!

Interesting thing, but the guilt will be shifted to the refugees at last due to the reason of practicality. Anyway, refugees are thought to be so desperate that they would do anything for a shilling.

It was very hard (in 1999) to convince the US government officials that the money they were spending on UNHCR (for the benifit of the refugees, of course !) was actually used to rape the helples refugee women (few were sick ???) . When, adequate proofs were produced, the US government had the Inspector General of UNHCR do the needful.

Therefore, it is natural that frauds and other types of excessess do happen on refugees often and UNHCR is not an exception either. A report says about 733 non bhutanese (and as such non-refugees) have either made well or are in the process of making it well for the greener pastures abroad.

Hi Friends,

I closely went through the comments made by all the individuals. Many supported the his ideas and others opposed it vehemently. It is the human feelings to get various openions on one issue.Historically speaking the great Pandavas and Kuravas who waged the greatest war on earth also portrayed the bird (the target set by their superb mastro Philoshoper the “Dronacharya”) differently.

But knowing monarath for a long time,I think he can’t and should’t move an inch forwar to endavour such a misdemeanor.If that is true, it is a grave injustice committed for the camp folks.
