India-Bhutan to signing memoranda
Darjeeling, May 01: Bhutan and India would be signing a few memoranda of statements today, at the end of the two-day Indo-Bhutan talks.
The bilateral talks focused on border problems of the two countries and the representatives from both the countries have agreed to work to curb trans border crimes.
Bhutan has been represented by a 11-member delegation led by the Joint Secretary at the Department of Home and Cultural Affairs, Daso Tshering Wangda and the Indian side by a 16-member delegation led by the Jalpaiguri Divisional Commissioner B. M. Meena.
Speaking at a press conference the two leaders said the they expected to reach new heights in mutual cooperation and better understanding.
Wangda said 90 percent business of Bhutan, education and health of the people largely depended on India and naturally a better understanding and co-operation with it was always a practical need for Bhutan. Bhutan News Service
