Damak, May 28: Following the death of a youth in Beldangi camp on Sunday, the tensed situation has continued despite indefinite curfew clamped by the local authorities from 11 am on Monday.

Thousands of people in all three Beldangi camps have been trying to defy the curfew. Meanwhile, some dozens have sustained serious injuries during the scuffle with security forces.

The curfew is imposed in all seven exiled Bhutanese camps and to an extend of at least 500 Metres from those areas.

Exiled Bhutanese who sustained injuries are barred from rushing to hospitals nearby as no ambulance is reported to have come to camps.

However, security personnel who sustained injuries are rushed to AMDA Hospital, Damak that includes District Superintendent of Police (DSP), Krishna Raj Pathak, Prem Chaudhari, Harka Raj Karki, Damber Bista and Yam Bahadur Monger. Bhutan News Service/Jeetan Subba
